Thanks to the Nasis Y's Men's for theCommunity breakfast in support of Fredericton Girls Softball Association on April 23rd. |
This year the FGSA will be offering programs in 6 different age groups. New this year is the U23 (Junior division).
Junior Girls - U23 - $80.00 per player
Midget Girls - U19 - $80.00 per player
Bantam Girls - U16 - $80.00 per player
Pee Wee Girls - U14 - $80.00 per player
Squirt Girls - U12 - $80.00 per player
Mite Girls - U10 - $60.00 per player
This year when you hear age categories called U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 don't get confused. In order to streamline across Canada and with other sports Softball Canada has dropped the mite, squirt, peewee, bantam and midget names in favour of an age group.
Not sure where the cutoff is? Just remember you have to be U (under) as of January 1st of the current playing year.
In 2012 changes will take effect across Canada.
Midget U18 (lowered from U19)
Junior U21 (lowered from U23)
Please pass this information on to anyone who you may think is interested in playing Softball this summer.
